We are pleased to announce that SIXTYPERCENT Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Meguro, Tokyo; CEO: Taiga Manabe) will host the inaugural “ASIAN BRANDS 60” award, set to take place in February 2025. In addition, a teaser website has been launched.

 ■ About “ASIAN BRANDS 60

“ASIAN BRANDS 60” is a project that carefully selects 60 key figures driving the fashion scene in Asia, highlighting their activities and achievements on a global scale. The selection process is conducted by a committee of members from various Asian countries, who evaluate candidates based on real market feedback and accomplishments, offering unique perspectives.  

This initiative aims to elevate these key figures to further prominence on the global stage through their contributions to Asia’s fashion scene.  

For the inaugural 2025 edition, the 60 selected individuals will be announced on the dedicated “ASIAN BRANDS 60” website in late January 2025. Additionally, an exclusive, invite-only reception is scheduled to be held on February 6, 2025, at a venue in Tokyo, featuring the selected key figures and various esteemed guests.

■About commitee

The committee for ASIAN BRANDS 60 comprises six prominent individuals actively shaping trends across diverse fields, from fashion to music. Members include:

  • Zaneta Cheng, Editor-in-Chief of Hong Kong’s fashion magazine #LEGEND.
  • Jeffry Joew, Founder of Southeast Asia’s largest streetwear media platform, USS Indonesia.
  • Jaeson Ma, Co-Founder of 88rising, a global platform known for elevating Asian music and culture.

These industry leaders contribute their expertise and unique perspectives to ensure a comprehensive and impactful selection process for the project.

Jing Zhang

Former Global Editor-in-Chief of Jing Daily and Fashion Editor of South China Morning Post, Jing has been an editor and journalist for over 18 years. She is an expert on China, luxury, fashion and cross-cultural topics and is a frequent speaker at global summits.

I am honored to serve as a judge for the 2025 ASIAN BRANDS 60. The rise of Asia-originated brands represents a powerful statement in the global fashion scene. At a time when Asia plays an increasingly vital role in the fashion industry, I believe this award serves as an important opportunity to recognize and elevate the unique creativity and talent emerging from Asia

#Legend Hong Kong |Zaneta Cheng

Zaneta Cheng is a journalist, editor, and speaker from Hong Kong with a passion for fashion, travel, design, celebrity, beauty, and culture. Currently, she serves as the Editor-in-Chief at #legend, a luxury lifestyle monthly magazine. 

I am delighted to serve as a judge for ASIAN BRANDS 60. Shining a spotlight on and supporting Asia’s creative talents is something I have devoted significant effort to both professionally and personally. I hope this award will further enhance the influence of Asian designers in the fashion industry

Urban Sneaker Society| Jeffry Joew

The founder of USS Indonesia, the largest street media platform in Southeast Asia, leads a community of approximately 838,000 followers. USS Indonesia is a hub for the latest trends in street fashion, lifestyle, culture, and music. As the leading name in Southeast Asia, it has built a strong following among the youth generation and cultural leaders.  

USS Indonesia also consistently hosts an annual convention celebrating Indonesia’s creative industry. Over the course of three days, it gathers hundreds of fashion brands and creative talents from across Southeast Asia and the world, attracting nearly 50,000 visitors from various cities and countries.

It’s an absolute honor to be part of the committee for this award. I truly believe in the bright future of made in Asia brands, and I hope this recognition helps more people appreciate the immense value Asian fashion brings to the global industry.  As we’ve seen through the work of creative talents in Indonesia, there was a time when we could only observe the movements of global brands from afar and buy their products. But today, we’ve reached a point where we can collaborate with them, connect with the creative minds behind their work, and even make our mark on the global brand map.  Trends may shift, and culture will continue to evolve, but we hope that USS, as a translator of culture, will keep growing, building a larger community and earning the trust of creatives worldwide. 88rising Co-founder| Jaeson Ma

Jaeson Ma is the founder of East West Ventures, Co-founder of 88rising and EST Media Holdings & OPEN SuperApp. He is an influential entrepreneur in the media and entertainment industry among the world and has been named to the Variety 500.

I am honored to be selected as a judge for ASIAN BRANDS 60. I hope this award ceremony will contribute to raising awareness of the immense value of Asian culture.

Worksout founder| Kang Seung Hyuk

The founder of WORKSOUT specializes in handling popular streetwear brands from both domestic and international markets, including Carhartt WIP, Palace Skateboards, HUMAN MADE, and Fucking Awesome, with over 26 stores in operation. WORKSOUT has grown into a high-end store beloved by trendsetters in Korea and plays a significant role in the country’s streetwear scene as a leading retailer in the street fashion industry.

Through the Asian Brands 60, I hope that Asia brands can grow into more competitive brands in the global market in the future.

Carnival Bangkok| Pint Anupong K.

Pint Anupong K. is the founder of Carnival, a streetwear brand born in Bangkok, Thailand. In recent years, the brand has experienced rapid growth and is so popular that it has over 549,000 followers on social networking sites. His representative items are unique sneakers, whose designs are characterized by vivid coloring and bold graphics.

Thank you for allowing me to participate in this award. I believe in the potential of Asian brands and hope that this recognition will help showcase how influential Asian fashion is on the global stage.


■ About the Hosting and Management  

The “ASIAN BRANDS 60” project is hosted by SIXTYPERCENT Co., Ltd. It is managed with participation from board members including Nanae Matsuoka, Co-founder and COO of SIXTYPERCENT, and Verbal, the official advisor to the Company, known for his roles as a fashion brand leader for AMBUSH and an artist.

As Generation-Z begins to gain recognition for Asia fashion as a “fashion trend” as symbolized by K-Fashion movement, the spotlight in the fashion industry is shifting not only toward Western brands but also toward Asia-born brands. With a desire to create a platform that introduces these brands to people not only in Japan but around the world, we decided to host ASIAN BRANDS 60. Through this event, we hope to inspire greater interest in Asian fashion among a broader audience.

In addition to his activities with m-flo, he is also known as a member of the star-studded rap group TERIYAKI BOYZ®. Leveraging his unique connections, he has collaborated with numerous artists. His distinctive style has drawn significant attention from the fashion world. Together with his partner and designer YOON, he launched the fashion brand “AMBUSH®” in 2008, where he serves as CEO.
